Interviews are stressful  Phone interviews can be even more stressful as you don’t have the advantage of seeing the interviewers non verbal cues.

This article provides four common sense pieces of advice on how to become a master phone interviewer.

The first and third points are especially important.  You need to be able to quickly demonstrate that you can do the job.  And you need to be able to demonstrate that you are a good cultural fit with the company.

Research and preparation are the keys to both of these tips.  You need to research the company and position before the interview.  You also need to prepare answers to questions you anticipate receiving.  If you do this, you will come across as confident and informed in the interview.
